About Dr. Capraro
Dr. Philippe Capraro is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a senior partner at Capraro Plastic Surgery & Regenerative Aesthetics. Since joining the practice in 2000, he has become one of Denver’s most established surgeons, known for a versatile skillset that spans both complex reconstructive work and high-level aesthetic procedures.
His surgical foundation is built on extensive training, including a general surgery residency at Easton Hospital followed by a plastic and reconstructive residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He further specialized through fellowships in breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Michigan and an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Rose Medical Center in Denver.
Dr. Capraro is recognized nationally for his contributions to the field. He has lectured and published extensively on topics like breast reconstruction and body contouring and has frequently appeared on local news programs to share insights on the latest surgical techniques. His approach combines clinical precision with a commitment to personalized care, helping patients achieve natural results across facial enhancement, breast augmentation, and body sculpting.

1976 | The Foundation of a Legacy
Dr. John Grossman established The Clinic for Plastic Surgery, laying the groundwork for elite aesthetic care in Denver.
The practice quickly gained a national reputation for surgical precision and artistry. By focusing on natural-looking results and a sophisticated patient experience, it set the standard for what would eventually become the Grossman | Capraro legacy.
1984 | Coastal Expansion
Now Grossman Plastic Surgery opens its second location in Beverly Hills, California, extending its reach to a global clientele.
This expansion allowed the practice to bridge the gap between Colorado’s mountain lifestyle and the high-fashion aesthetic of the West Coast. It solidified our reputation as a premier destination for celebrity and international patients.
2017 | A New Leadership Era
Dr. Philippe Capraro joins the practice in 2000, eventually taking over as President and CEO in 2017.
His arrival signaled a new chapter of collaborative excellence that culminated in his leadership transition. During these seventeen years, he refined the practice’s signature techniques and prioritized the integration of the modern technologies that steer the clinic today.
2018 | The Rebranding
Grossman Plastic Surgery officially becomes Grossman | Capraro Plastic Surgery.
The name change honored the partnership between the founder and the new leader. It represented a unified brand that blended decades of established legacy with a fresh, forward-thinking vision for the modern patient.
2020 | Medical Innovation
GCPS becomes the first practice in Colorado to develop a customizable surgical IV protocol with compounding pharmacies.
By focusing on internal wellness to enhance external results, this breakthrough improved patient recovery times and safety. It marked our first major step into the integration of systemic health with surgical outcomes.
2021 | Growth and Transition
A landmark year of expansion, marked by the opening of our second location in Greenwood Village and a 2,500-square-foot extension of our Rose Medical Center office.
This growth allowed us to formally integrate Medical Aesthetics into our core services, providing a more comprehensive patient experience. This period also signaled a new chapter for the practice with the retirement of Dr. Grossman at age 80, completing the transition of leadership to Dr. Capraro.
2023 | National Recognition

This dual recognition cemented our status as educators. Our staff now leads yearly Renuva trainings, traveling the country to teach other physicians and injectors the science behind advanced adipose matrix treatments.
